Houston or Jacksonville will play the Browns in the opening round.
Cleveland (WOIO) There are now just two options for the Browns’ first-round playoff destinations: Jacksonville or Houston.
Indianapolis was another choice as action got underway on Saturday, but they were out after losing to the Texans 23-17. In the closing seconds of the game, Colts running back Tyler Goodson botched a pass on fourth and one, thus ending it. Indianapolis was aiming for a lead.
The Browns will now have to wait to find out the result of Sunday’s Jaguars vs. Titans game, which starts at 1:00. Jacksonville will host the Browns next week and win the AFC South if they triumph. In the event that Jacksonville is defeated, Houston will win the South and host the Browns in the Wild Card round.
Earlier in the season, the Browns defeated both clubs. On December 10, they defeated the Jaguars 31-27. Two weeks later, they trounced Houston 36-22, a game in which the Texans were missing their standout rookie quarterback, CJ Stroud.
