Craig Fitzgerald is stepping down as the Giants’ assistant coach

Craig Fitzgerald, the assistant coach for the New York Giants, is reportedly leaving the team at the end of the season to take over the University of Florida’s strength and conditioning programme, according to Florida Gators beat writer Jacob Rudner.
Fritzgerald will take over for Mark Hocke, the Gators’ director of football strength and conditioning, who will assume a new position in head coach Billy Napier’s scheme, according to Rudnger.
Under head coach Joe Judge in 2020, Fitzgerald worked as the Giants’ director of strength and performance. Fitzgerald’s first NFL job was with the Giants; he had previously attended the University of Tennessee.
Fitzgerald had been a member of the Giants’ two-man strength and conditioning staff, which also included Sam Coad, the team’s associate strength and conditioning coach and director of performance.
Fitzgerald is the second known Giants assistant coach to leave after this season. He has more than 25 years of coaching experience. After his first season with New York, Jeff Nixon, the running backs coach, is reportedly leaving to take a position as offensive coordinator at Syracuse University.
On Christmas Day, the New York Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the first of two games that will conclude the season over the following three weeks.k
