Despite their assistance in getting the Orlando Pirates to the Caf Confederation Cup final on Sunday, supporters of the team have remained steadfast in their belief that co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids ought to be fired.

The Buccaneers defeated Al Ahli Tripoli 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the championship game. When the Pirates traveled home for the second game, they lost 1-0 at Orlando Stadium after winning 2-0 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in the first leg.

The Pirates achieved history by being the first South African team to reach four continental finals, having competed in the 2015 Confederation Cup, 1995 Caf Champions League, and 2013 Champions League finals. This was despite losing, thanks to a goal by Ali Arqoub.

The Buccaneers, who will now play RS Berkane of Morocco in the Confederation Cup final on May 20, were unbeaten in their previous 14 home games. Their supporters, however, have already called for the heads of co-coaches Ncikazi and Davids following their loss to the 12-time Libyan champions.
