The appointment of Darko Rajakovic as head coach of the Toronto Raptors
At a press conference on Tuesday, the Toronto Raptors announced Darko Rajakovic as the team’s new head coach.
Nick Nurse, who guided Toronto to the 2019 NBA championship and was 227-163 in his five seasons with the Raptors, is replaced by 44-year-old Rajakovic. Nurse was let go by the Raptors in April, not long after the team’s 41-41 record and play-in tournament defeat.
Von Miller’s expectant girlfriend disputes the assault, but the evidence seems to indicate otherwise.
Sofya: The Russian tennis player who gave up for OnlyFans MarcaSerbian-born Marca Rajakovic has been a coach since his late teens. He started coaching in the G League (formerly known as the NBA Development League) in 2012, after having summer league and consulting experience with the San Antonio Spurs. He has been an assistant with Oklahoma City, Phoenix, and Memphis for the past nine seasons.
The hiring comes after Serbian basketball’s finest player, Nikola Jokic, won the NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, capping an incredible week for the nation.
But tiny things like this, accumulated over almost 30 years on two continents at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels, are what gave Rajakovic the credibility and connections he needed to succeed in this most recent venture. Rajakovic, who is the second European coach in the NBA, had the ambition of coaching in the NBA and modeled his style after legendary players Zeljko Obradovic and Gregg Popovich.
Speaking of the former head coach of the Yugoslav national team and the San Antonio Spurs, Rajakovic remarked, “Those were my decisions at the time, and I cannot really express why.”
However, they were the coaches who put the needs of the players first. I’m not sure if I always saw that in them or if it was always there in me. I need to take a seat and consider that one.
