The Green Bay Packers had a great start to the offseason. They finished 9-8 in 2023, sneaked into the postseason, and advanced to the Divisional Round.
They maintained their momentum into the summer by adding two notable players, safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs.
As they get closer to the 2024 campaign, the excitement is palpable. During his guest appearance on “Wilde & Tausch,” ESPN writer Rob Demovsky shared some insights into the offensive line’s thinking for the Packers.
Demovsky is certain that his long-term centerfield replacement, Josh Myers, is on the roster despite some rumors to the contrary.
“I think this club has a starter center, but it’s not Josh Myers,” he remarked. “People in the organization told me that (they) think Zach Tom is a Pro-Bowl RT, an All-Pro Guard, and a possible HOF Center,” Demovsky continued.

After being chosen in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Tom has started 22 games in the past two seasons, starting every one of the 17 games at right tackle in the previous campaign.
For the Packers, the Wake Forest product was a beast on the right side who routinely dominated. Tom played in 1,068 offensive snaps and ended the season with an overall grade of 77.8, according to PFF. He gave up two sacks and only recorded three penalties.
He’s proven to the organization that he can play right tackle, but they see him moving to center because they think he’s adaptable enough to play other positions on the line.
It is highly praised that they think his ceiling at the center might be Hall-of-Fame caliber. Furthermore, it seems that Myers’ stay in Titletown is coming to an end.
