Saints supporters are raking in money to express their desire for Dennis Allen to be sacked..

There are some very angry supporters of the New Orleans Saints who believe Dennis Allen will remain their head coach.
This week, two Saints supporters started a GoFundMe page to try and gather money for a billboard that says “Fire Dennis Allen.” The billboard, which would have cost $1,800, would be up close to the Saints’ stadium for a total of four weeks.
Allen “has been a terrible disaster as a head coach in New Orleans and the entire Who Dat Nation is sick of it,” according to the GoFundMe website.
By Wednesday morning, $1,740 had been added to the GoFundMe. Assuming the $1,800 cost estimate is correct, it appears like the organizers will succeed in their mission.
This season, in Allen’s second season as head coach, the Saints finished 9-8. There was some improvement from when they ended 7–10 a year earlier. One could argue that the roster is a more pressing problem than coaching because New Orleans is beset by costly veteran contracts (Derek Carr, for example), which have put them in a challenging position.
The Saints players’ total disregard for their coach at the conclusion of their Week 18 game was another problem, but it doesn’t seem like ownership is very bothered about that.
Allen’s position seems secure until something unforeseen happens. For the next few weeks, he might have to face an ugly billboard every morning when he reports to work.
