Regarding their forthcoming Week 18 battle with the Green Bay Packers, a standout defense for the Chicago Bears delivered a message. The Bears visit Chicago on Sunday, and the Packers are playing for a Wild Card berth. The Packers defeated the Bears on Sunday night; therefore, there is nothing left for the Bears to contend with.
With four wins in their last five games, the suddenly hot Bears are eager to ruin the party for the Packers. As is customary, Bears supporters are trash-talking ahead of the Week 18 game.
A message from a Chicago Bears CB to the Packers
After the Chicago Bears defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17, a defense for the team chose to throw gasoline on the flames. After losing to the Packers in Week 1 in Chicago, cornerback Jaylon Johnson told Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times that the Bears had been looking forward to this game.
“We’re definitely on their ass,” Johnson declared.
The Bears and the Packers have a history of insulting each other.
The Bears have had a dismal track record of communicating with the Packers lately. Last season, defensive end Trevis Gipson gave the Packers a victory as a guarantee. According to documents from WSH Media, defensive player Justin Jones predicted that the Bears would turn the rivalry back to Chicago’s advantage and referred to Packers supporters as rude prior to the current campaign:
To be honest, I wish Rodgers had played for Green Bay for one more season. We went up there and had a good, competitive game. Obviously, they prevailed and got away from us in the end, but their supporters are absolutely shit. I wanted to go up there, play with them, defeat them, and have him present so he could witness it all.
“Just the way they’re so damn annoying, constantly shouting about all that other irrelevant stuff.”
Even half of them are ignorant of football. I find it quite strange. All I want to do is get back outside and play. When I beat the living daylights out of them on their turf, I want to hear the jeers. I’m looking forward to that.
In their first-round game, the Packers would prevail 38–20. The Bears would be better off holding off on giving the media idiotic soundbites like this until after they settle their grievances at Lambeau Field. Now in 2024, the Bears haven’t triumphed over the Packers since 2018.
