Rams Sign Four Additional Players to Futures Contracts—NFL Tracker
JAN 17: FOUR MORE FUTURES After signing 10 players to futures contracts on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Rams signed four additional players on Wednesday.
Among those two signings were a pair of tight ends in Miller Forristall and Nikola Kalinic.
Forristall has played in six games in his NFL career and has gotten just one target.
L.A. also signed guard Grant Miller and wide receiver Xavier Smith to reserve/future deals.
JAN 16 FUTURES SIGNED Following their loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams have signed 10 players to futures contracts, securing their practice squad players for the off-season.
Headlining the group is former third-round draft pick Logan Bruss, whom the Rams waived at the end of August and later added to the practice squad.
Los Angeles tried to make things work for Bruss, who moved back to right tackle during OTAs after spending much of his collegiate career there, but was unable to make an impression.
The final nail in the coffin for Bruss was his difficult preseason, during which he received an overall grade of just 47.5 by Pro Football Focus, the fifth-worst mark on Los Angeles’ offense.
After Bruss cleared waivers, he was brought back and spent the entirety of the season with the practice squad.

JAN 15 RAMS TRAVEL DELAYED AFTER PLAYOFF LOSS The Los Angeles Rams’ heartbreaking 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions in Sunday night’s wildcard round only worsened in the hours thereafter.
According to NFL Network, the Rams’ plane finally touched down in Los Angeles shortly before 9 a.m. PST, over 12 hours after their playoff exit.
The Rams battled “plane issues and hours and hours of delays,” slowing their return and making an already long, painful night even longer.
Nonetheless, the Rams are safely back home, putting their Detroit nightmares in the rearview mirror.
Jan 9 CHARGERS WANT MORRIS? As one of the most respected defensive coordinators in today’s NFL, it is no surprise that Los Angeles Rams coach Raheem Morris is being heavily pursued for multiple openings across the league.
Morris had already been requested by the Panthers and Commanders since those jobs came open, and now there is another one.

The Chargers recently fired coach Brandon Staley after an extremely disappointing 5-9 season in which his team fielded one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Morris, who does have previous head coaching experience with the Buccaneers and Falcons (interim), went 21-38 through both stints.
Following the conclusion of the Rams matchup with the Lions in the Wild Card round, Morris will be free to interview virtually with the Chargers. In-person interviews are not permitted until after Divisional Round play.
JAN 7: CLOSING IN Just a few plays after Puka Nacua set the all-time rookie records for touchdowns and receptions in a season, the Los Angeles Rams have cut into the San Francisco 49ers lead at Levi’s Stadium.
The Rams were able to get into the end zone with a Carson Wentz touchdown pass to Tyler Johnson, capping off a 17-play, 75-yard drive that took 10 minutes and 15 seconds off of the clock.
The touchdown pass was the second for Wentz in the game and the first TD catch for Johnson this season.
New Rams kicker Brett Maher missed the extra point, leaving the score 20-13 in favor of the 49ers.
JAN 1: KICKER CUT The Los Angeles Rams have struggled in the kicking game in recent weeks, and on multiple occasions, it has nearly cost them.
And after another rough day on Sunday, the Rams have decided to make a change, cutting kicker Lucas Havrisik, per a team announcement.
Havrisik had 15 of his 20 kicking field goals and 19 of his 22 extra points, two of which he missed Sunday.
DEC 31 WILLIAMS TD The Los Angeles Rams picked up where they left off last week on Sunday vs. the New York Giants, jumping out to an early lead with a short Kyren Williams touchdown run.
Williams was heavily featured on the drive and has seven carries for 33 yards and a score, plus one catch for five yards. It was Williams’ 10th touchdown of the season.
