Over his nearly three-year tenure, Darkol, the football team’s head coach at Tennessee, has regularly offered encouragement to his family.
When asked what he would be doing on Tennessee’s open day in early October, Heupel responded without hesitation. Heupel said, “My daughter and I will settle down to watch a game or two later on Saturday morning after I get to watch my son play football.”
The Tennessee head coach is often seen on the Neyland Stadium field tossing the football with his kids before home games.
On Saturday night in Knoxville, after Tennessee’s victory over Texas A&M, Karthik Venkataraman of WBIR was able to capture a heartwarming moment between Heupel and his children.
How absurd is that? Heupel gave his daughter a big smile when he said this, implying that Tennessee won even though they only scored 20 points. “You have never, ever seen one of those in your life.”
