Justin Jefferson, the Minnesota Vikings’ star wide receiver who had an incredible 2022 season, isn’t upset about the departure of his former quarterback, Kirk Cousins. Cousins recently signed with the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, leaving the Vikings’ offense without a starting quarterback. During his appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Jefferson explained that he has no hard feelings towards Cousins and is grateful for what he accomplished with him on the field. He went on to say that he understands that football is a business, and players need to make decisions that are best for themselves and their families.
Jefferson acknowledged that moving on to a new quarterback will be an adjustment for him, but he’s excited to work with whoever takes over the starting spot. Currently, Sam Darnold is penciled in as the Vikings’ starting quarterback, and Jefferson had some positive things to say about him during his interview with Eisen. Despite the changes on the Vikings’ offense, Jefferson remains confident in his abilities and is ready to make the best of every opportunity that comes his way.
