The announcement on Saturday morning that a former Dallas Cowboys player would be joining the Philadelphia Eagles for the next season sparked reactions from NFL fans. Prior to their May OTAs, the Eagles signed a fourth quarterback to their roster.
As was reported on GH, the Eagles signed former Cowboys quarterback Will Grier. Grier will be in the quarterback room with Tanner McKee, Jalen Hurts, and Kenny Pickett before training camp.
The Carolina Panthers selected Grier in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He completed 28 of 52 passes for 228 yards and four interceptions in the 2019 season, but he has not played in a regular-season game since.
Grier played in 2021 and 2022 for the Cowboys. The Cowboys released Trey Lance after making a trade for him. Grier played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots in the previous campaign.
