Austin Johnson, a former Tennessee Titan, has joined the Buffalo Bills to strengthen their defensive line. The versatile lineman, whose ability to play several spots along the defensive front, was highlighted by the organization when they announced his signing to a one-year contract.
Johnson, whom the Titans selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, adds significant experience to the Bills’ roster. Having accumulated eight career sacks, he has proven to be a valuable asset on the inside and outside of the defensive line. Excited by Johnson’s potential, Bills general manager Brandon Beane compared it to defensive tackle DaQuan Jones’s breakout season in Buffalo, his former colleague at Penn State.
Beane highlighted Johnson’s visit to the squad and highlighted his integrity and dedication to a winning culture, suggesting that Jones was involved in promoting the Bills’ culture.
