    1. Charleston Open 2024: 5 Grand Slam winners are going all out for the WTA Prize.

Clay swing will commence with the 2024 Charleston Open, which is scheduled to take place from April 1st to April 7th.
There are a lot of domestic players on the entry list because this is the only WTA claycourt event hosted in the United States. Not less than nine Americans are guaranteed a spot in the main draw, and a few more could qualify as well. The top-seeded Jessica Pegula will try to capture her maiden clay-court WTA championship. At least five Grand Slam winners, including Sofia Kenin, Joelena Ostapenko, Victoria Azarenka, Sloane Stephens, and Elise Mertens (doubles winner), will be up against the World No. 5 on the court.
Fast-rising athletes like Dayana Yastremska and Marta Kostyuk, two Ukrainians ranked among the top eight seeds, are also included in the inaugural list. Among the risky floaters will be athletes like Danielle Collins, Anna Kalinskaya, and Emma Navarro.

The prize fund for the Charleston Open in 2024 has been confirmed. The total prize money up for grabs is $922,573, which is 2.5% more than the amount from the previous year but still falls short of the tournament record.Every round of the main draw will have a corresponding increase from the previous year. The winner in Charleston will receive 500 ranking points and a salary of $142,000, which is $21,850 more than what Ons Jabeur earned the previous season.

A sizeable portion of the prize money will be awarded to the runner-up as well. She will earn $87,655 and accrue 325 points, giving her the opportunity to move up the WTA rankings.

It is assured that semifinalists will earn $51,205 and gain 195 points. Conversely, quarterfinalists will get $24,200, or half of that amount, and 108 points.

Earning $13,170 and 60 points is the equivalent of winning a main draw match. Make sure to review the detailed analysis of the 2024 Charleston Open prize money below.
