Right now, the player in question is making an impression while on loan.
A recent transfer rumor claims that Everton is interested in signing an “excellent” Premier League gem who is currently improving his reputation while out on loan.

    News about Everton transfers

Lately, a number of players have been connected to the Blues, suggesting that Sean Dyche may decide to bolster his roster in the middle of the campaign. After his team’s 3-0 loss to the Wolves on Saturday, it would be reasonable to bring in new players in January.

Iliman Ndiaye of Marseille, who spent last season at Sheffield United, is someone that Everton is expected to pursue. West Ham defender Ben Johnson, who has lost favor at the London Stadium, is also thought to be a potential target. It’s crucial that Dyche considers the big picture and targets young players who can lead the Blues into the future, even if he will undoubtedly want to add players who can contribute right away. According to a recent accusation, it appears that the club is acting in this manner.

Everton watching a move by Alex Robertson

The News reports that Everton is interested in acquiring Alex Robertson, a midfielder for Manchester City who is presently on loan at Portsmouth in League One.

Alex Robertson (Portsmouth FC) – Scout Report – Target Scouting

“Alex Robertson is the focus of Premier League Everton during his breakout senior campaign. However, Pompey is still optimistic that they can keep the Manchester City loanee at Fratton Park this season as his stature in the league continues to rise.”

“Over the Christmas break, the 20-year-old’s form leveled out as he experienced the ups and downs that every budding football player experiences. But Robertson’s skill has made a lot of noise, and The News hears Everton is now keeping a careful eye on him.As is typical in these kinds of agreements, City does have a recall mechanism in the loan arrangement for the Socceroo talent for next month.”

Robertson impressed for Portsmouth this season, so even though he probably wouldn’t be an instant mainstay, Everton might have made a wise decision by signing him in January. He is still only 20 years old, and while League One is a significant step down from the Premier League, Pompey boss John Mousinho praised him just before Christmas, saying:

“When looking at it all together, he’s emerged as a starter and established himself as one of the top names on the roster each week. In the last several weeks, he has also given some incredibly impressive performances, which has been quite encouraging. He’s been playing a role that we didn’t necessarily bring him in to play, but we knew he could play. He has therefore flourished in his new role as one of our holding midfielders and one of our sixes.”

Robertson’s presence at City immediately speaks volumes, and the fact that he has already earned two caps for Australia indicates that he is having an effect on the world scene. Because of these factors, Everton might try to negotiate a transfer, but Portsmouth, who want to move up to the Championship, won’t want to lose him just yet.
