Clemson, determined to reclaim its spot, has not made the college football playoffs since the 2020 season, when it lost to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, ending its dominance. The Tigers are now setting their sights on returning to the playoffs in 2024.
Clemson Could Be Back In The Playoffs In 2023
The College Football Playoff has grown from four to twelve teams this upcoming season, which is great news for all Clemson supporters as it means they will have eight more opportunities to qualify for the postseason than in previous years. However, good news does not always come without bad news, and the Tigers learned on Sunday that one of their top recruits from the 2024 class had entered the transfer portal.
One of the Tigers’ players from the 2024 class was lost.
According to Matt Zenitz of 247sports.com, defensive end Adam Kissayi has logged on. According to 247sports.com, 6-foot-8 Florida native Kissayi is a three-star recruit and the 29th-ranked edge in the 2024 class.
Adam Kissayi, a true freshman EDGE at Clemson, has joined the transfer
portal, I’ve gained knowledge for @247Sports, and @chris_hummer.

Kissayi’s Stay With The Tigers Was Short-Lived
On June 13, 2023, Kissayi made his first commitment to Minnesota. The following day, on July 14, he decommitted and made his commitment to Clemson. Clemson had to have been depending on the loss of a guy who had only been a part of the program for a few months to have a significant impact on the club, maybe not this season but as early as 2025. The first season he played for the Tigers, he failed to make it to fall camp.
