And this was the situation on Sunday, when he took over for an injured Derek Carr and threw a pass to Lions defensive back Jerry Jacobs that was supposed to be a pick-six when Carr went out with an injury. However, rookie safety Brian Branch intercepted the pass before it could reach him, which led to a tip drill. Saints receiver Chris Olave came down with the ball and sprinted into the red zone with it.
