When Jameis Winston is in the quarterback position, you never know what you’re going to get, but he makes for a very entertaining quarterback. All kinds of risky passes can be attempted by the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints because he possesses the arm strength and the courage to try everything.
And this was the situation on Sunday, when he took over for an injured Derek Carr and threw a pass to Lions defensive back Jerry Jacobs that was supposed to be a pick-six when Carr went out with an injury. However, rookie safety Brian Branch intercepted the pass before it could reach him, which led to a tip drill. Saints receiver Chris Olave came down with the ball and sprinted into the red zone with it.
However, Winston works in a manner similar to this. He is just as likely to throw a touchdown pass that wins the game as he is to throw an interception that ties the game. Fans of the Saints apparently couldn’t believe it, judging by the reactions they posted on social media.
