Fredi Knighten gets promoted by the Bengals to assistant quarterbacks coach.
Dan Pitcher, a former quarterbacks coach with the Bengals, was elevated to offensive coordinator last month. Brad Kragthorpe, an assistant quarterbacks coach, was also elevated to the position of quarterbacks coach.
It appears that Kragthorpe’s former position has been reassigned to Fredi Knighten.
On the official website, Knighten is identified as the Bengals’ assistant quarterbacks coach. He has served as an offensive assistant for the last two seasons on the staff. From 2012 to 2015, Knighten was an Arkansas State quarterback. With 6,986 total yards, he ranked fourth in program history.
Jordan Salkin is also being hired by the squad to assist with offensive. The offensive coaching staff for the Bengals appears to be set for the 2024 campaign.
