The 2025 Formula 1 season is shaping up to be an exciting and closely contested campaign, with teams aiming to improve on last year’s results. Alpine, which struggled with an overweight car in 2024, has made significant strides, particularly in the second half of the season, thanks to a remarkable double podium finish in Brazil that propelled them to sixth place.

For the upcoming season, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly is ambitious and confident, aiming for a top-five finish in the constructors’ championship. While he wouldn’t rule out achieving even more, he believes that this target is achievable, especially considering the regulatory stability leading up to the major technical overhaul in 2026.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner shares a similar sentiment, anticipating a tight and competitive field in the 2025 season. Despite the record-breaking 2024 season, which saw seven drivers take multiple grand prix wins and four constructors claim at least four victories each, Horner expects the usual suspects, including Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes, to be at the forefront of the competition.
However, the British team principal notes that the 2025 season will be about marginal gains and extracting the most from every weekend. With the regulatory stability in place, Horner believes that there won’t be a significant change in the pecking order, making it an open championship that will be a true test of the teams’ and drivers’ abilities.
