We are pleased to have Dr. Rajpal Brar, an expert on injuries, as our exclusive columnist. He will provide his opinions on Everton’s injury situation every week.
Dr. Rajpal Brar reports that Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure may play again against Crystal Palace on January 5.
According to the injury expert, he will be going through a late fitness test and will be evaluated game by game before playing again.
Doucoure’s injury to his thigh, which may be a muscle one, has ruled him out, and it looks like this is holding up his comeback.
A physical therapist and sports scientist, Brar, spoke exclusively with Goodison News about his circumstances. He stated:
He’s got a thigh injury, perhaps a muscular one.
According to Dyche’s remarks, it does appear that he will have his fitness evaluated for each game.
“But it doesn’t seem to be very serious, so he might immediately be back in the running.”
The 31-year-old made his Premier League debut for Everton on December 16, when they defeated Burnley 2-0.
This season, he has become one of Sean Dyche’s most valuable players and has improved his game.
In 17 appearances, he has also scored six goals in the Premier League, making him an unexpected goal source for the starting squad.
