Mike McDaniel is expecting a new child.
In an effort to present a more positive picture of himself than what the broadcast version presented, head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Gregg McDaniel, attempted to fill in some blanks on Monday after his How I Met My Wife tale was told during the team’s 34-13 rout of the New York Jets.
Midway through the fourth quarter, with the Dolphins dominating a 4-7 Jets team, commentator Al Michael recounted the beginnings of his love story. McDaniel described it as a fun, humorous yarn that took a bad turn.
According to Michael’s revelation, McDaniel allegedly took Katie Hemstalk from one of his teammates at a nightclub where he met her when his Sacramento Mountain Lions team was celebrating a UFL triumph.
Michael stated that Mike McDaniel told us a story today. I asked him to tell me a story about the Sacramento Mountain Lions while we were conversing. He is the coach of the running backs in the United Football League (2010). After blowing out Omaha, they celebrate by going to a nightclub. “Listen, you’re not dancing with her anymore or you’re not playing with this team next year,” Mike tells a running back who is dancing with a girl. The man then asks, “What can I do?” The narrative then begins when McDaniel begins dancing with her. After four years, they tie the knot. That’s how he met Katie. “Hey, get off.” We’re dancing together.
