He Has Been Told To Leave: Andy Gray To sell Everton Ace now after what he’s been told by…

If a team made an offer of £85 million for Jarrad Branthwaite, Andy Grey would “reluctantly” trade the centre defender.

Branthwaite had an incredible breakthrough season at Everton this season, leading to links with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City.

Shamed Scots football pundit Andy Gray flogging online video messages to 'fans' for just £5 - Daily Record

This week, iNews revealed that Everton would be willing to pay up to £100 million over the course of the next two transfer windows for Branthwaite.

Prior to Everton’s beIN Sports broadcast on December 23, 14:41 PM, where they would play Tottenham 2-1, Richard Keys stated: “He’s not yet in the centre of a tug of war, but he may well soon be.”

He has an £85 million price tag attached to him. Would you consider selling him?

Grey, the co-host, retorted, “Yes, reluctantly. At Everton, I don’t think we’re in a position to reject a bid of around £85 million, especially considering that we have solid options in Ben Godfrey, Michael Keane, and James Tarkowski.

“Right now, Everton would have a very hard time declining. It would probably have to be accepted if the sum was around £85 million. You are unable to refuse that.

    Thank you.

Should an offer of that magnitude be made for Branthwaite, it is a substantial sum of money, whether it be £85 million or £100 million.

It would be simple to argue that the club should fire it, as most of that money would need to be used to locate a successor.

Branthwaite is clearly a treasure that Everton has on their hands, and there is a great deal of optimism that he will continue to improve.

The 21-year-old’s recent signing of a contract tying him to the team until June 2027 is wonderful news for the Toffees.

This implies that Everton won’t have to sell in the upcoming window since, come June 2025, for example, he will still have that enormous valuation.

Although it does not appear like it will happen, Branthwaite might always falter. If an offer is made in January, it will undoubtedly be a matter of “thanks, but no thanks.”
