Bengals are suspended for the rest of the regular season.

What Brown and McKenzie did to earn their suspensions was not made clear. Both did not play in the Colts’ Week 15 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, which ended 30-16.
When questioned about the matter on Wednesday, head coach Shane Steichen told reporters, “There’s going to be a standard and individuals are going to be held accountable.”
In addition, Steichen did not elaborate on the suspensions or whether he was aware of them prior to Saturday’s game, in which both players were inactive.
Brown is a member of the Colts for his second season. The 28-year-old has accumulated 10 combined tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, and one pass defensed in 12 games in 2023. Brown, an Alabama product who was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, has also been a member of the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers.
After spending five years with the Buffalo Bills, McKenzie signed a free agent contract with the Colts, and he is currently in his first season with the team. He has hauled in 23 punt returns for 204 yards, six kick returns for 152 yards, and 11 receptions for 82 yards in 13 games this season. With Buffalo last season, McKenzie enjoyed his best NFL season with 478 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns overall.
