After wide receiver Daewood Davis left the game due to an injury, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was suspended.

The Dolphins said that Davis is awake and able to move his limbs. At Jacksonville’s Baptist Medical Center, he is undergoing evaluation.
After suffering an injury during tonight’s game, Dolphins wide receiver Daewood Davis was transported to Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for additional assessment. He can move all of his extremities and is cognizant.
Trying to grab a ball from rookie quarterback James Blackmon, Davis was hit during the Dolphins’ 31-18 loss to the Jaguars in the fourth quarter.
Davis was pushed facedown on the turf by the hit, and he stayed there until someone hoisted him up onto a backboard and carried him off the field……..
According to Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald and Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel stated that the team was heartbroken but relieved to hear the team’s update on Davis. He also noted that the decision to postpone the game was right, without a doubt.
They were not thinking about playing football. McDaniel stated, We felt that playing football was wrong.
