Incredible: Three Kentucky volleyball players nominated to the Preseason All-SEC Team

The preseason All-SEC volleyball team for 2024 has been announced, and three players from the University of Kentucky have made the squad. These include senior setter Emma Grome, senior libero Eleanor Beavin, and sophomore outside hitter Brooklyn DeLeye.

This is the third consecutive year that Grome and Beavin have been selected for the All-SEC Preseason team, and it represents Kentucky’s eighth consecutive year with multiple players chosen. Additionally, SEC coaches have ranked Kentucky in third place, behind Texas and Florida, in their anticipated order of finish for the conference. Texas has the most players on the Preseason All-SEC teams with four.

UK volleyball has won every SEC title since 2017, but they face a new challenge this upcoming season with Texas, the winner of the last two national championships, now joining the SEC.
