INJURY UPDATE: Carlos Alcaraz set for further tests on injury
As Carlos Alcaraz was being defeated by Grigor Dimitrov at the 2024 Miami Open, he expressed his reaction.
In spite of the fact that Carlos Alcaraz is scheduled to undergo additional tests about the injury that caused him to miss the Monte Carlo Masters, he has not yet been given the green light to resume his competitive activities.
Alcaraz’s clay-court season got off to a poor start yet again, as he was once again forced to miss the ATP Masters 1000 event due to injury. This is the second year in a row that Alcaraz has been forced to skip the event.
Over the course of the previous week, the third-ranked player in the world had been dealing with a forearm injury. On Tuesday, despite his best attempts to recover from the condition, he made the decision to withdraw from the competition to avoid further complications.
“I have been working in Monte Carlo and trying to recover from an injured pronator teres in my right arm until the very last minute, but it was not possible, and I am going to be unable to play!” It was written by him.
This is the second time in a short period of time that Alcaraz has been experiencing issues with his arm. In October of the previous year, he also withdrew from the Swiss Indoors competition due to the same issue.
The twenty-year-old will reportedly be subjected to additional examinations about the injury on Thursday in Alicante, and it will not be determined until after the fact whether or not he will participate in the Barcelona Open that will take place the following week.
