“I’m hoping that she goes on tour again,” Gauff shares after expressing excitement for Beyonce’s upcoming album.
Tennis sensation Coco Gauff recently shared her enthusiasm for Beyoncé’s upcoming country album “Act II” on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Insider podcast.
Gauff, the 19-year-old American tennis prodigy, clinched the Auckland Savings Bank (ASB) Classic title last month by defeating Elina Svitolina, followed by a semifinal appearance at the Australian Open, where Aryna Sabalenka ended her run. However, Gauff faced early exits in the Qatar Open and Dubai Tennis Championships, bowing out in the second round and quarterfinals, respectively.
The news of Beyoncé’s 32-time Grammy-winning album “Act II” being slated for release next month excited Gauff, despite not being a big fan of country music. Gauff specifically mentioned enjoying two songs from the album, “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘em,” expressing her anticipation for Beyoncé’s venture into the country genre.
Despite her limited affinity for country music, Gauff professed her admiration for the music legend, revealing her and her friends’ status as devoted fans with a dedicated “Beyoncé group chat.” Gauff even extended an offer to teach tennis to Beyoncé’s children, Blue Ivy and Rumi, showcasing her admiration and willingness to contribute in any way possible.
Gauff’s affinity for Beyoncé extended beyond just music, as she was spotted attending a movie about Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour with friends during the off-season. Gauff praised Beyoncé’s expertise and expressed hope for her to embark on another tour, confident that if Beyoncé is involved, it will be executed with excellence and meticulous planning.
