Although Kieran Tierney admits he hasn’t spoken to , about his future at Arsenal, he maintains that his season-long loan with Real Sociedad has been an “incredible experience.”.
Prior to Alexander Zinchenko’s arrival from Manchester City in 2022, the Scotland international became the first-choice left-back for the Gunners after joining from Celtic in 2019.
However, the 26-year-old signed a season-long loan with La Liga team Real Sociedad after making just one appearance in all competitions in the previous year. After 15 appearances, Tierney says he is disappointed that his time in Spain is coming to an end but that he is loving every minute of his stay at the Reale Arena.
“To be honest, I’m enjoying this experience a lot,” Tierney said to talkSPORT. “It’s a shame that there is so little time left, there are a good six or seven weeks left of the season.”
Although he is scheduled to return to North London at the end of the season, Tierney acknowledges he has not yet discussed his future at the Emirates Stadium with Arteta. The former Celtic defender has drawn strength from William Saliba’s return to the Gunners squad following many loan stints in France, but he hasn’t ruled out making a comeback.
“In football, you never know,” Tierney continued. “That you are able to return in the same manner as (William) Saliba is a little odd. It’s unusual to return to the game after a four-year loan. Well, football is insane, so who knows. He’s busy there, therefore, I’m not speaking with Arteta.”
