JUST NOW: Antonio Pierce Head Coach of Las vegas Raiders got Fired Due to what he said to…
This season, the Raiders defense has improved, and he has brought vitality to the locker room that was previously dead. On the other hand, Pierce has struggled with making decisions during games; he routinely wastes timeouts and punts on the side of the field when the opponent is playing.
All of that may be irrelevant if owner Mark Davis has already resolved to follow the bright light once more and to go after a coach like Jim Harbaugh, who has led Michigan to the national championship game against Washington on Monday.
However, if Davis is still considering removing Pierce’s interim tag from his job description, then Sunday’s season finale against the Denver Broncos might mean more to coach and staff.
“I think it’s fair and the goal of this sector that everything will ultimately be judged based on victories and losses,” Pierce said. But I also think it has to do with the kind of foundation you lay. We have, in my opinion, built a solid foundation for our company and ourselves over the course of these eight or nine weeks, one that will enable us to reflect on the past and say, “Well, those were the things that went well, and there are some other things that we can do better.”
