However, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers outside linebacker suggests that whether he extends his playing days for at least another year hinges largely on his current team’s willingness to retain him.
During an interview with the Ronnie and TKras show on 95.3 WDAE this week, David was questioned about his plans for the upcoming offseason: whether he would contemplate joining a new team or restrict his options to re-signing with the Bucs or retiring.
In response, David affirmed his desire to remain a lifelong buccaneer. Hbuccae expressed sentiments about his twelve-year tenure with the organization, emphasizing the profound personal growth he experienced in Tampa Bay. David underscored the reciprocal affection between himself and the city, highlighting his contributions to the community and his deep-seated affinity for Tampa.
He stated, “So, of course, I would want to do that; I would want to stay a Buc for the rest of my career as long as I play. At the end of the day, yeah, I do want to retire a Buc, but it’s just got to be a mutual thing.”
