Joe Burrow is hired by the Tampa Bay Bucs to serve as their new general manager.
The usual mayhem of Super Bowl week has reached unprecedented heights this week as the major event makes its debut in Las Vegas. As a result, a who’s who of famous people, athletes, and members of the mainstream media today call the town home.
Joe Montana and Joe Burrow, two of the biggest personalities in the world, partnered with Guinness and spoke with GQ on Friday morning. Although Burrow is still seeking his first Super Bowl ring, Montana retired with four titles. Nevertheless, both have Super Bowl experience. Inside a glitzy hotel restaurant, away from the gambling machines and selfie sticks, the quarterbacks discussed their different strategies for winning the Super Bowl, the stark contrasts between their various periods, and a ton of other stuff.

With Guinness, what are you guys cooking up?
Burrow: To address food hunger, we’re collaborating with my charity in March. I’ve always been enthusiastic about this, and I think it’s the right thing to do, so this is something I’ve always wanted to accomplish. The more lives we can save, the more good it will accomplish.
Montana: I’ve been associated with Guinness for some years. A major reason I stick with them is because of what they do for the community. Naturally, the first time I visited Ireland was when I fell in love with Guinness. It is imperative that individuals and corporations endeavor to care for the communities in which they reside. There’s that element in everything we do.
Joe B., have you ever traveled to Ireland?
Burrow: I’m down, but I haven’t.
Montana: I started going, and my girls were into horse-jumping, believe it or not. Buying horses in France and Ireland and shipping them back was more affordable. You purchase a few extra, sell them, and the money covers your travel expenses! It’s around ten times more expensive to try and buy them here. I therefore fell in love when we were over there. Let’s go grab a pint,” and I was like, What the heck?
At first, you weren’t convinced by Guinness.
Montana: You know, that’s right. That’s what everyone initially thinks, I believe! “You sit down at the table; I’ll bring it back,” the man I was with remarked. After a short while, I ask, “Hey, where’s the beer?” What do you mean? You must hold out for it! It must be poured by them. It needs some time to be completed! When the girls were jumping their horses every day after I had my first one, I’d go [touch my wrist] and say, “Isn’t it time for a pint?Come on, let’s go!
There, I’ve had a number of enjoyable trips. I enjoyed the last one with Notre Dame. It was the first time I saw the storage. It’s incredible. Joe hasn’t bagged as many potatoes as I have.
