In Super Bowl 58, is Patrick Mahomes able to alter that? Does this year’s NFL script suggest that Travis Kelce will win the MVP of the Super Bowl? Or will another 49er, like Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, or Christian McCaffrey, win the trophy?

The XXXIV Super Bowl was an odd one. In addition to being the first Super Bowl meeting between two organizations that had never won one, it was also mostly an unimpressive game that set up what is maybe the most memorable Super Bowl ending in history.
With just over two minutes left in the game, Tennessee would score 16 straight points to equalize the score. However, 18 seconds later, Kurt Warner and Isaac Bruce connected for a 73-yard touchdown, giving the Rams a 23-16 advantage. Thanks in large part to Warner’s outstanding day and Mike Jones’ game-winning tackle of Titans wide receiver Kevin Dyson, who was just one yard shy of the end zone on the game’s final play, the Rams would ultimately win by a final score of 23–16.

Patrick Mahomes would not repeat the feat for another 23 years until last year.

Despite only managing 194 yards of total offense, the lowest production by a Super Bowl winner in the history of the game, the Broncos emerged victorious in Super Bowl 50 with a final score of 24-10. It didn’t matter. The league MVP, Cam Newton, and the
With Carolina down just six points in the fourth quarter, there was yet another forced fumble. On a third and nine, Miller got to Newton, putting an end to the Panthers’ hopes of a comeback.
