Oklahoma’s initial 2024 SEC schedule under head coach Aaron Mansfield, who is in his second year, was revealed by the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
In the 16-match conference schedule, each school will play two teams twice and the remaining programmes once. Next season, the Sooners will play home-and-home games against Texas and Arkansas.
There are six home games and six away games with the other twelve teams on the calendar. OU will travel to Kentucky, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State in addition to hosting Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Auburn.
Nine of Oklahoma’s fourteen opponents—Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Texas—advanced to the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Tennessee and Kentucky advanced to the Sweet 16, Texas won the 2023 national title, and Arkansas made it to the Elite Eight.In the 2023 AVCA Coaches Poll, five of OU’s rivals placed among the top 25: No. 1 Texas, No. 8 Arkansas, No. 9 Tennessee, No. 10 Kentucky, and No. 19 Florida. Kentucky took home the SEC Championship, but Texas also won the 2023 Big 12 Championship.
Oklahoma will host Florida on Friday, September 26, and Tennessee on Sunday, September 29, at McCasland Field House in Norman to begin conference play. On Wednesday, October 2, OU travels to Kentucky for its first midweek conference game.
On Sunday, October 6, Oklahoma and Arkansas will begin their two-match series at McCasland Field House. On Wednesday, Nov. 27, the Razorbacks play host to the Sooners to conclude the regular season.
OU will travel to LSU on Friday, October 11, Georgia on Friday, October 18, and South Carolina on Sunday, October 20 for three straight road games.
The Sooners will host Alabama on Wednesday, October 23, and Missouri on Sunday, October 27, when they return to McCasland Field House.
On Sunday, Nov. 3, Oklahoma and Texas begin their 2024 Red River Rivalry in Austin, Texas. On Friday, Nov. 22, the Longhorns head to Norman for the second game.
On Friday, November 8, OU will play Ole Miss, and on Sunday, November 10, OU will play Mississippi State. OU will travel to Mississippi for these two games.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at College Station, the Sooners and Texas A&M, their erstwhile Big 12 rivals, will square off once more as conference rivals.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, Auburn will travel to Norman for their final home game.
