A motley assortment of colorful feathers is gathering in Waldo on Sunday.
They go by the name of the Midwest Flock.
Every game day, about sixty Ravens supporters congregate at Lew’s Sports Bar in Waldo, which is located close to 75th Street and Wornall Road.
They claim that the majority are Baltimore-born implants who have relocated to Kansas City.
With the exception of the occasional matchup between the two teams, they support the Kansas City Chiefs most of the time.
“Yes, I can speak for the majority of the attendees when the Chiefs are playing—the Ravens supporters were secondary Chiefs fans,” stated Midwest Nest member and Kansas City native David Lewandowski. Lewandowski has lived in Kansas City for 13 years.
Every week, they have a 50/50 raffle, with half of the earnings going to the Great Plains SPCA Animal Shelter.
