The Chiefs are reportedly searching for a new stadium, and Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson has shown interest in seeing the team return to the city that gave rise to it.
The Kansas City Chiefs were defeated in their effort to renovate Arrowhead Stadium. As previously said before to Jackson County’s election, the Chiefs might relocate from Kansas City. And by the looks of things, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes may be moving to Dallas.

Voters in Jackson County rejected the proposal to renovate Arrowhead Stadium and construct a new home for the MLB’s Royals using the money from a 25-year sales tax extension. After being submitted in late March, the combined Chiefs and Royals plan was rejected on April 5.
The Chiefs have previously revealed the consequences of a rejected vote, including the need for the squad to find new quarters. It appears that Dallas is prepared to host the Chiefs once more. Lamar Hunt established the Chiefs as the Dallas Texans in 1959. The squad moved to Kansas City four years later.
Eric Johnson, the mayor of Dallas, has recently expressed his desire to see the Chiefs settle into their new stadium. In his statement, Eric Johnson stated, “As I have said previously, our market is big enough, growing enough, and loves football more than enough to support a second NFL team,” according to MARCA.
Eric went on to emphasize that the Chiefs already have a strong local following. Thus, accepting a team, “Especially a franchise with deep roots here,” might benefit Dallas. In the previous five years, the Chiefs had won three Super Bowls.
