During his visit to Arkansas, Anderson had a chance to observe a practice session and engage in discussions with Coach Smith. Despite living in Georgia, Anderson has roots in Arkansas, with family members residing in Blytheville. He noted Coach Smith’s vocal and detail-oriented approach during practice.
As a junior, Anderson rushed for 509 yards and 3 touchdowns while sharing playing time with junior running back TJ Lester. Coach Smith, who officially joined the Razorback staff in March, previously spent four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
Anderson has been in communication with Coach Smith since his hiring and maintained contact leading up to his visit to Fayetteville. Following his visit, Anderson listed Arkansas, Florida State, Kansas State, and Ole Miss as his top four schools.
Meanwhile, Arkansas quarterback Grayson Wilson, from Central Arkansas Christian in North Little Rock, has received a boost in his recruiting status after impressive performances at the U.S. Army Combine and the Under Armour Next Camp. Wilson, previously unranked, is now regarded as a 4-star prospect by Rivals and ESPN, with the latter ranking him as the No. 15 pocket-passer in the nation. He received MVP honors at both events and has been invited to play in the 2024 U.S. Army Bowl game.
