Sean Payton says he will be returning

Sean Payton, a former head coach of the New Orleans Saints, has announced his return.

The San Francisco 49ers are connected to the Denver Broncos through Christian McCaffrey, John Lynch, and Kyle Shanahan.

Thanks to Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ excellent football connection, Taylor Swift is acquainted with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Over the past season, the Broncos have hired so many of head coach Sean Payton’s former assistants that the team has been dubbed the Denver Saints.

Although the exodus of former Saints coaches and players to the west started a year ago, it has gained renewed attention with the recent hirings by the Broncos of college scout Cody Rager and former New Orleans offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. Those are the only noteworthy offseason changes the Broncos have made thus far since their last game in Las Vegas on January 7. The 49ers and Chiefs will play each other in Super Bowl LVIII (58) the following week.

Payton’s former New Orleans Saints teammates, coaches, and personnel executives total 19 and are now with the Broncos.
