After making it to the Women’s College World Series five times in a row, the Oklahoma State softball team knows which positions it has to fill going into the offseason.
In the offseason, coach Kenny Gajewski will attempt to repeat his notable success from the previous several years in the transfer portal in an attempt to assemble a team capable of winning the redesigned Big 12 Conference.

Amanda Hasler, C, University of North Carolina
After Caroline Wang graduated, OSU had a major void to fill at that position. They signed Hasler, a power-hitting catcher who had hit 27 home runs in her first two seasons of collegiate softball. Over the past two years, she has started 103 games behind the plate and, despite being hit by pitches 29 times, has posted a.318 batting average with 73 RBIs and a.426 on-base percentage. Hasler, a junior who will be from Avon, Connecticut, finished her season with a batting average of.351 and 18 home runs.
Ruby Meylan, P, Washington
Reaching her junior season, Meylan has more than 300 collegiate innings under her belt and was named to the third team of the All-American team as a freshman and twice as an All-Pac-12 selection. Meylan, who hails from Omaha, Nebraska, has tossed 303 ⅔ innings in two seasons at Washington, recording a 2.31 ERA and 343 strikeouts. Throughout her career, opponents have only batted.224 against her. Lexi Kilfoyl and Ivy Rosenberry, OSU’s two best starters, are not eligible to play any more, therefore Meylan will get the chance to move up to the front of the rotation.
Through the transfer portal, players are departing Oklahoma State softball. Katie Lott, OF
Entering the gate with two seasons remaining, Lott comes from a sophomore year in which her role grew progressively smaller. Lott, a native of Cypress, Texas, was a frequent pinch hitter for the Cowgirls and occasionally started in the outfield.
