Ottawa Redblacks Update Their Coaching Staff for 2024
The coaching staff of the Ottawa Redblacks in 2024 made some adjustments, particularly with regard to offensive. Bob Dyce, the club’s head coach heading into his second season, is in charge of the new coaching staff.
Dyce, who went 1-3 in the final four games of the season, served as the temporary coach in 2022. After the Redblacks’ temporary tag was removed last season, they finished 4–14. In 2015, he was also the head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who finished the season with a 3-6 record. Since 2003, Dyce has worked as a head coach or assistant in the CFL.
With Tommy Condell starting his first season as the offensive coordinator in 2024, this was the greatest change to the coaching staff. From 2019 to 23, Condell was employed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the same capacity. In 1997, he began his career in the CFL as a coach, going on to win two Grey Cups with the Toronto Argonauts and the Tiger-Cats.
Entering his second season, Baron Miles leads the Redblacks as defensive coordinator. Miles served as the Montreal Alouettes’ defensive coordinator from 2021 to 2022. Over his tenure, he has also served as the coach of four other CFL teams. He was a five-time All-Star with the BC Lions and Montreal as a player.
There will be five returning coaches from the previous team and four new ones when the season begins.
