We won’t know if quarterback Joe Burrow will be a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2024 at this stage in the offseason.
Coming off a season marred by injuries, Higgins will be available for free when the new league year starts in March, barring the Bengals from applying the franchise tag.
Higgins’ situation over the offseason is still unknown, but at least we know how he thinks about Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Bengals.
This week, Higgins expressed his opinion that Burrow is the best quarterback in the NFL during an appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams.
Adams questioned Higgins and teammate Ja’Marr Chase on a widely shared video on social media that purports to show that Burrow is inferior to Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson because Higgins and Chase are teammates.
“Joe Burrow will succeed with whoever he throws the ball to,” Higgins said. “He’s simply one of those elite quarterbacks that is unmatched. Joe is among the league’s top quarterbacks, in my opinion. And, to be honest, I can’t think of anyone who is superior to him.”
When questioned if Burrow is only excellent because of Chase and Higgins, Chase responded, “Everyone knows that is not true,” adding that he hasn’t watched the popular video.
Higgins doesn’t seem like a player who wants to get away from Joe Burrow quickly.
Neither Bengals supporters nor Higgins are eager for him to leave Cincinnati.
The financial component must ultimately make sense. But the Bengals would undoubtedly like to keep Higgins, Chase, and Burrow together.
