Rashee Rice, a wide receiver with the Kansas City Chiefs, is purportedly the subject of an arrest warrant due to his involvement in a multi-vehicle collision in Dallas, Texas.
Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, has an arrest warrant out for him, according to WFAA in Dallas, Texas. Eight charges have been brought against Rice in relation to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash on March 30, according to the WFAA: “six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault, according to the arrest warrant.”
Royce West, Rice’s lawyer, verified on April 4 that Rice was operating the Lamborghini SUV that was involved in the collision. Rice was leasing the Lamborghini and owned the Corvette that was involved in the collision, according to TMZ’s first report. It is made clear by WFAA’s story on Wednesday that Rice was renting the Lamborghini and leasing the Corvette. Theodore Knox, the driver of the Corvette, is reportedly facing the same accusations as Rice, according to WFAA. The WFAA points out that “[a] Teddy Knox is listed as a cornerback on the current roster of the SMU football team, where Rice played in college.”
West emphasized last week in his statement that Rice has cooperated with authorities at every stage of the investigation.
“He has fully cooperated with the Dallas Police Department, every question that was asked of him, he responded to,” West stated. “We will continue to cooperate with them in terms of this particular accident.”
Rice shared a statement on Instagram on April 3.
Rice’s statement started, “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident.” “I fully accept responsibility for my involvement in this, and I’ll keep helping the appropriate authorities. I genuinely sorry to everyone who was affected by the accident on Saturday.”
