Posting a photo on her official Instagram account, Gauff happily reminisced about watching tennis legend Venus Williams play Bethanie Mattek-Sands at the US Open in 2012.
The adorable photo captured a little Gauff soaking in the atmosphere created by the fans during Williams’ first-round match. She had no idea that eleven years later, she would take home the coveted championship herself, and that seven years later, she would be fighting against her idol on the court.
Resharing the photo on her Instagram account, Gauff expressed her satisfaction and appreciation for the discovery.
