On the second day of the Lions’ official offseason program, Tuesday, Goff stated, “You never want to like say something.” “There have been conversations, and I’ll say the same thing that Brad Holmes has said to you guys. Conversations have taken place. Yes, my agent is keeping an eye on everything and doing a great job; I have faith in those individuals.”
While he waits for a new contract that would put him among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL, Goff is participating in voluntary workouts this spring.
Although the prevailing wage for elite quarterbacks is more than $50 million per season, he still has one year left on his current contract, which is scheduled to pay him $27.3 million this year.
