Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert’s son, Nick Gilbert, passed away on Saturday due to neurofibromatosis. He was 26 years old.

The owner’s son was well-known in the NBA, especially in Cleveland, where he frequently represented the team in the yearly selection lottery. Nick gained notoriety for showing up to the celebration twice wearing a bow tie and black-rimmed glasses to support his family’s team’s selection as the first overall pick in the draft.
