Lebron James just announced his departure to leave basketball due to…
When LeBron James announced live on national television on Thursday night that he was leaving Cleveland and joining the Miami Heat, it devastated Cavaliers fans.
James claimed to have called his mother Gloria on Thursday morning and received her support before making the decision. He claimed that after meeting with six organizations in Cleveland, his decision changed multiple times in the previous week.
However, according to a number of sources, James has been in communication with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, his new colleagues for the Miami Heat, for a few weeks. The three of them met at James’ Bath residence during the final week of June to talk about the partnership.
More than any contract he ever signed with the Cavaliers, James declared he would sign a five-year contract. It is anticipated that all three players will take a pay cut below the maximum; the exact amount is still unknown.
“I didn’t want to choose based on my feelings. “I wanted to do what would make LeBron James happy and what was best for him,” James declared. “This is a business, and my seven years in Cleveland were fantastic. Maybe the fans won’t understand, but I hope they do.”
The Cavaliers released a statement from General Manager Chris Grant shortly after James made his announcement, and it omitted James’ name entirely.
Grant stated in the statement, “We believe in this team, this organization, this community, and what we will accomplish to compete at the highest level.” “We have faith in our new leader and coach, Byron Scott, as well as in the elite basketball program we’ve built and the uplifting atmosphere we’ve created. At the highest level, Dan Gilbert and our ownership group are fully dedicated to achieving our objectives and being successful both on the court and in the community.”
