Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was glad to see someone else on Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, despite the fact that many spectators (and the Fox Sports broadcasters) were glued to Taylor Swift in a suite.

“Certainly, it was his first opportunity to be out there on the field,” said Mahomes, whose daughter Sterling frequently attends Chiefs games. Therefore, it was great to see them on the field before the game with my daughter and him present. There are a lot of games there for him.
“I’m happy he can now understand what Arrowhead is all about: playing on the field, and perhaps he’ll be playing at venues like that too someday.”

Mahomes, who is now the father of two children, is aware of how lucky he is to be a national celebrity in the most watched sport.
Mahomes expressed his gratitude for being able to play professional sports and for being in this position. “I mean, being a professional athlete has always been my dream, and I was able to realize that.” And honestly, I don’t take this position for granted; I thank God every day for his blessings.
