In a setback to Shane Steichen and their hopes of making the NFL playoffs, the Indianapolis Colts have suspended two players for “behavior detrimental to the club.”
Receiver Isaiah McKenzie and cornerback Tony Brown have been suspended.
Due to “behavior detrimental to the team,” the Indianapolis Colts have announced that two players will be suspended for the remainder of the regular season.
Isaiah McKenzie, a receiver, and Tony Brown, a cornerback, were both healthy inactives for the Colts’ 30–13 victory over the Steelers on Saturday.
It has now been revealed that they will also miss the last three regular-season games.
The squad did not provide further details on the ‘detrimental conduct’ they are said to have participated in, but sources told ESPN that severe punishment’ was necessary.
Although the two are typically relegated to supporting roles for the Colts, they have played a significant part this season.

Playing 71% of the team’s snaps this season, Brown has been a key member of the special teams unit.
He has tallied 10 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception.
Prior to Saturday, McKenzie had played in all 13 of the Colts’ games this season and was their starting return man.
In addition to his 23 punt returns for 204 yards, averaging 8.9 yards per return, he has recorded 11 catches for 82 yards.
With six kickoff returns for 152 yards and an average of 25.3 yards per return, McKenzie has a superior kickoff return record.
Coach Shane Steichen is in a difficult situation as the Colts are trying to secure a postseason berth in the upcoming weeks.
If the regular season ended today, the 8-6 Colts would currently have the No. 7 seed in the playoff positions.
Their final three games of the season are against Texas, the Raiders, and the Falcons.
