Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Email Report: “Barring something unseen,” Todd Bowles is safe as the Bucs head coach until the end of 2023. Todd Bowles, the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, doesn’t seem to be as comfortable as some might have thought. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Bowles is likely to play out the season and the organization is unlikely to replace its coach in the middle of the season, as the Carolina Panthers did. “Bowles’ position looks safe for at least the next six games, including four against the unimpressive NFC South, according to Bucs officials,” Stroud wrote. “The Bucs are only one game behind the Falcons (5-6) and Saints (5-6) despite their 4-7 record.” Bowles stated that he is optimistic about his immediate future and that his expertise helps him assess the security of his employment. “Not at all. According to Stroud, Bowles responded, “Not at all,” when asked if he was coaching for his job this week. “I have much too much coaching experience. Each and every time you work in this industry, you coach for your job. favourable or unfavourable. As a coach, you are aware of this. You’ll never be performing at your best. All you do is coach and get better at it.” Tampa Bay is losing ground on its rivals and currently sits in third place in the NFC South. With a 3-1 start to the season, the Buccaneers were ready to challenge for the division crown once more. Since then, Tampa Bay has dropped six of its last seven games, including a 16–13 setback on October 22 against the Atlanta Falcons. The Buccaneers still have a chance to win the division despite the difficulties the Falcons and New Orleans Saints are facing. However, the team needs to turn the tide, and Bowles’ capacity to do so may well determine whether or not he stays with the team in the future.
