SAD NEWS: Tennis star Rafael Nadal passed away as a result of…
Recently, Rafael Nadal was seen grinning while working out in an effort to go back to full condition in time for the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters.
During his quarterfinal round in the 2024 Brisbane International against Jordan Thompson, the 22-time Grand Slam champion suffered an injury. He withdrew from the Qatar Open, the Australian Open, and most recently, the Indian Wells Open, ever since.
Although Nadal hasn’t competed in a professional tournament since his injury in January, he was able to take part in an exhibition match at the Netflix Slam, which he lost against his countryman Carlos Alcaraz.
The former world number one uploaded a photo of himself from the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca to Instagram on Thursday. He was laughing and rolling an overgrip on his racket in the picture, which showed him sporting a white cap and a sleeveless shirt.

In anticipation of his clay-court comeback, Rafael Nadal is focusing primarily on winning the Monte-Carlo Masters. His protected rating of ninth placed him on the tournament entry list as well.
Due to an injury, the Spaniard missed most of the 2023 season and had surgery.
Rafael Nadal recently talked candidly about his rigorous training schedule and the uncertainty surrounding his return.
The 37-year-old recently disclosed that he had been putting in a lot of work to get ready for his comeback at the Monte-Carlo Masters during his speech at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Awards ceremony in Palma.
But Nadal held off on talking about his comeback because he knew it was hard to predict. He declared:
“I’m working toward it and trying to reach that goal, but I don’t dare to speculate on what might occur because, regrettably, I’ve been having trouble making predictions lately.”
The Spaniard added that he has kept up his training uninterrupted even though he hasn’t been able to follow his ideal plan.
“At no point have I stopped training. I’m always attempting. I just haven’t been able to stick to the routine I would have liked to. I feel fine. As you might guess, I couldn’t explain since I don’t know myself, but perhaps things can improve,” he continued.
