Amid the controversy surrounding the Red Bull CEO, Christian Horner’s accuser was suspended with full pay.
Christian Horner’s accuser in the sexting scandal has reportedly been suspended by Red Bull amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the Formula One team principal. This development follows Geri Halliwell’s public display of support for her husband, Horner, at the Bahrain Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen clinched victory. Despite Halliwell’s support, she will not accompany Horner to the upcoming Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, as the stories surrounding him continue to overshadow the sport.
The accusations of misconduct against Horner by a female Red Bull colleague emerged last month, leading to an internal investigation that cleared the 50-year-old of any wrongdoing. However, an anonymous email containing WhatsApp messages allegedly related to the investigation was later circulated to journalists, team bosses, and key figures in F1, casting further doubt on Horner’s position at the beginning of Red Bull’s season.
Horner responded to the leaked messages and images by stating that he would not comment on anonymous speculation, reiterating his denial of the allegations, and expressing his cooperation with the independent investigation.
‘I will not comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations,’ Horner said in response to the messages and images that were leaked.
‘I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way. It all plays into claims that there’s a conspiracy to unseat Christians.
Meanwhile, Horner’s wife, Geri Halliwell, made a public display of support for her husband and continued to stand by him as if nothing had happened.
