2024 NFL mock draft: Brock Bowers, TE, is selected by the Broncos
Luke Easterling of Sports Illustrated sees the Denver Broncos selecting Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with their first pick in April in one of his most recent first-round 2024 NFL mock drafts.
Easterling posted on SI, “There might be more obvious needs elsewhere, but if Bowers is still on the market, the value might just be too much for Denver to pass up.” “That quarterback will be better off with a dynamic weapon like Bowers making life unpleasant for opposing defenders, regardless of who ends up throwing passes for the Broncos next year and beyond.”
As Easterling pointed out, the Broncos certainly have obvious needs at other positions, but Bowers is regarded as the best tight end in this year’s class. A quarterback will be Denver’s most pressing need in 2024.
Russell Wilson is anticipated to be released by the Broncos in March, and it wouldn’t be shocking if they chose a quarterback in the draft with the 12th overall pick. In the event that they choose not to pursue a quarterback and Bowers becomes available, Denver should give him serious consideration.
